Privacy
Short version. Choice City Music does not collect personal information from you. The apps run entirely on your device. The website is a static page with no analytics, no tracking, and no cookies. If you email us, we have your email and what you wrote — that's it.

Who we are
"Choice City Music," "we," or "us" refers to the small lab in Fort Collins, Colorado that publishes Selenite, Asterism, and this website. You can reach us at hello@ChoiceCityMusic.com for any privacy question.
The apps — Selenite and Asterism
Our apps do not collect, transmit, or share personal information with us or with anyone else. They contain no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no ads, and no account system.
What stays on your device
- Patches, presets, graphs, and any other content you create.
- Settings and in-app preferences.
- MIDI input and output — processed in real time, never recorded by us.
iCloud Drive (Selenite)
Selenite saves your presets to your own iCloud Drive folder if you have iCloud enabled on your device. That sync is between you and Apple — we are not a party to it and we have no access to those files. Apple's handling of your iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The App Store and Ableton
When you download Selenite from Apple's App Store, Apple collects download and purchase information under its own terms. When you use Asterism inside Ableton Live, Ableton's software is governed by Ableton's terms. We receive aggregated, non-identifying sales reports from Apple — we cannot identify individual customers from these reports.
Permissions the apps request
Selenite requests access to MIDI inside the AUv3 host so it can process notes. That access stays in the AUv3 sandbox. Asterism communicates with Push 3 through standard Max for Live and Ableton APIs. Neither app requests access to your contacts, location, microphone outside the host, camera, photos, or any other personal data.
The website — ChoiceCityMusic.com
This site is a static page hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not run analytics, we do not set cookies, we do not load third-party scripts, and we do not use tracking pixels. Fonts and images are served from the same origin as the page — your browser does not contact a third party to render it.
GitHub, as our hosting provider, receives standard server request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL requested) as part of delivering the page to you. We do not access that data; GitHub's handling of it is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Email you send us
If you write to hello@ChoiceCityMusic.com or use the support page, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use it only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, share your message with anyone, or use it for any other purpose. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to support you, and we delete it when we don't.
Our support form is processed by Formspree, which receives your submission and forwards it to us as email. Formspree sees the data you submit (name, email address, topic, and message) in order to deliver it. Once the email reaches us, the message lives in our inbox. Formspree's handling of submissions is governed by its own privacy policy.
Children
Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their personal information, please email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information through the apps or the website, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time by writing to hello@ChoiceCityMusic.com. Residents of California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with applicable data-protection laws have rights under those laws; we will honor lawful requests promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and bump the effective date. Material changes will be noted at the top.
